Say a meeting.Get an alarm.
MeetMate is an Android app. Type or say “Standup with Priya every weekday at 10am” and it rings like an alarm clock before the meeting starts.
Free and open source · Android 8 or newer · no account, no internet
Just say it
This is the app’s own parser, running in your browser. Type a meeting the way you would say it, or pick one, and watch the fields fill in.

Dates count from your clock: Mon, 2 Nov, 9:48 am. “At 5” with no am or pm means 5 pm.
It rings like an alarm
Not a quiet notification you notice at 10:07. When a reminder is due, MeetMate takes the whole screen and rings.
- Over the lock screen
- The whole screen turns into the reminder, even when the phone is locked and asleep.
- On the alarm volume
- It plays on the alarm stream with vibration, so a silenced ringer does not hide it.
- Rings for up to a minute
- Then it stops and leaves a normal notification. Tapping that notification stops the ringing too.
- Three big buttons
- Join meeting opens the link. Snooze waits five minutes. Dismiss ends it.
The small things, done right
Join in one tap
Meet, Zoom and Teams links get a Join button on the card, the Next up card, the notification and the alarm.
Swipe right for done, left to delete
Both come with Undo.
Voice input
Tap the mic and say it. The phone’s own speech recognizer does the listening.
Repeats
Daily, every weekday or weekly. The next one is set as soon as one rings.
Widget
Next meeting and a mic, on the home screen.
Quick Settings tile
And a “Say a meeting” shortcut on the icon.
It tells you when something is off
Notifications, exact alarms or the lock-screen alarm turned off? A card on the home screen fixes it in one tap.
Built for TalkBack
Each meeting reads as one sentence, with Mark done and Delete as actions. The layout holds at 200% text.
Notes, categories, search
General, Work, Personal or Call. Search covers titles, people and notes. Add to Google Calendar when you want it there too.
From sentence to alarm
First you say it.
Then it fills in the details.
Then it rings, ahead of time.
Then you tap Join.
Questions, answered
Does it need the internet or an account?
No. There is no account, no server and no ads, and the app does not ask for the internet permission at all: the meetings live in a database on your phone. One honest note: voice input uses your phone's own speech app (usually Google's), and that app may use the network itself. MeetMate never does.
Will it ring if my phone is on silent?
It rings at your alarm volume, the same as your alarm clock, so muting the ringer does not silence it. If you have turned the alarm volume right down, or set Do Not Disturb to block alarms, you will not hear it.
What happens if I restart my phone?
Reminders are set again after a reboot, an app update, a time-zone change and a force-stop, and a reminder that already rang never rings twice. If notifications, exact alarms or the lock-screen alarm are turned off, a card on the home screen says so and fixes it in one tap.
What can I say?
A title, a person (“with Priya”), a day (“tomorrow”, “next Friday”, “on 5 Nov”), a time (“at 3pm”, “at noon”, “in 2 hours”), a repeat (“every weekday”, “daily”, “every Monday”) and a Meet, Zoom or Teams link. “At 5” with no am or pm means 5 pm, because hours from 1 to 7 are almost always afternoon meetings.
Does it work with Google Calendar?
It can hand any meeting to your calendar app with Add to Google Calendar. It never reads your calendar.
Can I use it without swiping or with large text?
Yes. TalkBack reads each meeting as one sentence and offers Mark done and Delete as actions, so nothing depends on a swipe. The layout holds at 200% text size.
